Frequently Asked Questions
Our team has over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, having worked in both agencies and private practices, including community settings and TMS private practices. Additionally, we are continuously advancing our education, with team members currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Psychology (LPC-Counseling Route).
On our initial consultation call, I will ask what your vision is for the practice. I will also ask if you are looking to transition to a group practice at some point in time. If so, we provide the stipulations for each insurance to transition into a group practice. Most insurances require you have 3 or more providers on staff to transition from individual to group. We will then send the requests out to insurance companies to obtain group contracts and rates for the group practice. This is very similar to the credentialing process as far as follow up time and paperwork that needs to be submitted.
As long as your client is in the state where you are licensed, and you are in network with your local BCBS plan, you will be considered in network and the client/patient can be seen. For example: Client has a BCBS of Florida and the provider is licensed in NY. If the client is in the state of NY at the time of their session, the provider will be considered in network with Florida Blue.
We have no hidden fees or charges. We offer specialized quotes for each individual provider or group practice based off their financial ability. Not each office/provider will have the same fee as the other. We work with every office/provider to make sure the credentialing process or billing process does not hurt them financially.
We are very big on answering emails and/or texts to our clients. We are the only company opened seven days a week, for over twelve hours a day. If you cannot reach us on the phone that is because we are always on with insurance companies. If you email or text we will respond almost immediately. If the matter is urgent we will call you.
We begin credentialing applications the same day you sign up. The same day you will get copies of all credentialing applications that were submitted. We continue to provide you with weekly updates on your credentialing status with an excel spreadsheet which will have detailed information on the status. Most of our clients who use us for credentialing will see results anywhere from 72 hours to 30 business days. For billing, results will show as little as two weeks for claims and immediately for obtaining copays and backbilling.
If you have previously been credentialed with another group practice or individually, we still need to credential you as if you were never credentialed prior. Insurance companies want to make sure that all demographic information and network information is updated to date and correct. If they do not have a tax id, business name or business address on file, you will be considered out of network. Claims will process as out of network if you choose to work for a group/practice that you have not been fully credentialed under that tax id and business info.
If you have a group practice that you want to credential along with bringing providers onto your group, there is a multistep process for this. First, your group will have to be credentialed first before any provider. Once the group is credentialed then we will have to credential each provider and attach them to your group tax id, business name and business address. These applications CANNOT go out at the same time. The turnaround time for each application (group and provider) can take anywhere from 60-120+ business days. You will also need to obtain a group (organization) NPI which we provide at no additional cost to your practice!
